Artists: stop worrying over this bullcrap.
It's been a little while since I felt cause to write another artist journal, but recent events inspired me to make one about the nonsense that artist worry about and my concerns over their inability to think for them self.
it's making them feel like their skill or achievements are inadequate by comparing themselves with others and occasionally, with false information. Inform yourself and do some research and make the worries stop! Allowing yourself to focus on training your skills and become a better artist.
It all started with a little joke on a Facebook group called: Level up! A place where many artists post their work in request for feed

Celebrate DeviantArt's 15th Birthday! by Heidi, journal
Celebrate DeviantArt's 15th Birthday!
As DeviantArt enters its 15th year on the Internet, we want to take a moment before blowing out our candles to thank the community for allowing us the honor of hosting the site that you call your home for art. After all, it's the community's 15th birthday, too, and in the past few months, we've been making it our top priority to share with you our plans for the future, celebrate the successes of our past, and look to you for guidance on how best we can serve each of you while entering this new phase of DeviantArt's existence.

Fun Art Exercises to Improve your Skill by saltytowel, journal
Fun Art Exercises to Improve your Skill
Fun or sort of fun exercises you can do yourself to get better at drawing and painting. We all want to be better at our craft and to create the art that looks more like our vision, or more like the stuff we love to see. But exercises can be dull, even though they are deliberate we can't bring ourselves to do them because we get bored and we don't draw with the goal to get bored.
So I devised a few ideas that I sometimes use that can lighten up those studies. I don't really like the word "studies", but who cares? Right?
5 Fun Art Exercises you can do

My Digital Painting tips for beginners, intermediates and perhaps even professionals.A.K.A
I don't claim to know everything about Photoshop or digital painting because often enough I discover some new hidden trick or technique that somebody developed on their own or learned about somewhere online. Yes, I mostly learn from others and rarely discover or develop something on my own.
I wish more people would share their own digital painting tips and techniques. It's surprising how time saving those little tricks can be. Especially when you are working professionally for a client, you want to be quick, creative and not to be bogged down by the t

I was asked about fan-art lately since so many Pareon creators are doing it.
I really like making fan-art, but my Patreon page will never have it because I find making money on someone's ideas or inventions (here: characters/worlds) morally objective :/
I work in the game industry and lately people that make fan-art are making more money that me and my friends are actually payed for creating these characters and games...

A simple guide on: Commissioning an Artist. by Suzanne-Helmigh, journal
A simple guide on: Commissioning an Artist.
It's often not as simple as one wants it to be when both artist and client want it to be: Cost efficient, time efficient and quality efficient.
I've often spend my time discussing the best way to handle commissions with clients and artist friends that I came to the conclusion that clarity and understanding is key.
I will divide the guidelines I work with based on 3 commission types.
:bulletblue: Character commissions.
:bulletblue: Book covers ( or illustrations)
:bulletblue: Concept art.
Reading all 3 parts will give you the full scope as a lot of it applies to one another as well.
